A highly dynamic performer, Lynda Maxwell has been captivating audiences since a young age, with her high-energy live performances and a from-the-heart song writing ability that immediately connects with her listeners. Her involvement in the Cape Breton Music Scene has varied from commercial work to jingle recordings; from session musician to live performances and showcases.
As a solo Artist, Lynda has had many opportunities and accomplishments. She has performed and recorded with such Artists as Cindy Hill, Scott Phillips, Kenzie McNeil, Joella Foulds, Fred Lavery, and Allie Bennett. She has opened for J.P. Cormier and been a part of several duo and trio shows.
She is a perennial favorite for concerts like International Women’s Day and Girls’ Night Out. Her unique voice and skill with harmonies has placed her in demand for singing backup harmonies for recordings. Living just down the road from the award-winning Lakewind Sound Studios in Point Aconi is a bonus, and Lynda is called frequently to studio sessions.
Lynda has released her debut video to accompany her previously released single, “Not Today” which is now available through CD Baby, on iTunes, and Apple Music and can be heard on 89.7 FM “The Coast” Radio station.
Lynda is currently busy pursuing her solo career within the local music scene of Cape Breton Island and as well can be found performing with her duo partner Dave Brown on bass and vocals.
Her unique and powerful voice always makes an impression and her original songs, written from the heart, are touching and powerful.
